For 30 years Impression 5 has been challenging
people of all ages
to look at the world around them and ask, "why?" Through the
development of interactive exhibits and participatory programs, Impression 5 fosters an environment where people EXPLORE... DISCOVER...
and EXPERIENCE. This environment would not be possible without the
help of people who volunteer their time to support the science center.
Impression 5 is always recruiting polite, dependable, hardworking
people to assist staff with achieving the mission of Impression 5:
To facilitate
learners of all ages in exploring, understanding, and appreciating the
wonders of the physical and natural world.
Volunteering at Impression 5 can be a
very rewarding experience. Impression 5 is looking for
people who are ready for a challenge. Volunteers will assist with
the daily operations within the Education Department. This will
include:
-
Delivering Educational Programs
(Slime, Demo Carts, Activity Stations.)
-
Assisting visitors with exhibits
-
Assist with exhibit upkeep
Interested
candidates must attend a Volunteer
Training Session at Impression 5 to gain further knowledge of
the program and its expectations. Volunteer training
sessions will be held periodically to train all volunteers in what is expected
of them as Impression 5 representatives.
If you are interested in volunteering,
you must register with our volunteer coordinator. Please contact Joyce
White by email
or call (517)485-8116 ext 22.
