The Air Cannon
Some of our most popular exhibits are in the Throwing Things area. Here you can investigate many different ways to put energy into objects to move them. Try using pressurized air in the Air Cannon or the Bottle Rocket. How about using lifted weights in the Trebuchets? Maybe even your own arm in the pitching cage! Which exhibit can move a tennis ball the fastest with the least effort on your part?
The Trebuchet
While playing in the Throwing Things area, you might have noticed that most exhibits don't have labels. That's on purpose! In these exhibits you learn through experimentation. You have to figure out how to use the exhibits on your own. Of course, there's always a friendly staff member nearby to help if you are stuck!
