What makes light?  Can you really see everything?  Our newest exhibit allows you to explore all types of radiation, while focusing on the kind we use every day, visible light.  Explore properties of light such as reflection, refraction, as well as color addition and subtraction. The exhibit also explains how light and telescopes are used in the study of stars.  After all, we can't visit the stars in person, so their light is the only way we can learn about them!

The Lens and Prism Table
Through a partnership with Michigan State University, we show how their SOAR Telescope in South America is used to study the heavens.  Our popular Shadow Wall is also located in this exhibit area.
