On Saturdays
during the winter and spring of 2006 Impression 5 will be offering
several events geared towards both Girl and Boy Scout troops.
Each activity is specially designed with several activities needed to
satisfy the requirements for one badge.
Reservations
are required for your scout troop to participate. To make a
reservation please call the Reservations Office at Impression 5 a (517)
485-8116 ext 32. We recommend one adult chaperone for every six
scouts. Programs are limited to 60 Scouts each. The cost
varies by age group.
Scouts are also
welcome to schedule a regular Group Visit or Overnight
Adventure! While these are not designed to fulfill any
badge requirements, they are a terrific way to spend a day or evening
having fun with science!
Brownie
Try-Its
Try-Its are $10 per
Brownie and will include 4 components to obtain a badge and an
Impression 5 patch. There are four topics which will run from
9am - 12 pm on the following dates:

Trebuchet Challenge
The Trebuchet Challenge
workshop is open for any age scout. Scouts will construct
their own small-scale model trebuchet to experiment with and also
watch as we use our large trebuchet to throw things in the I-5
parking lot. This workshop does not satisfy any complete badge
requirements but can be used as part of the Engineering Badge for
Webelos. The workshop will run from 1-5 pm and includes a
snack and I-5 patch.
