- Tuesday - Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm
- Sunday: 12 pm - 5 pm
- Monday: closed

Why the new hours?
This schedule will more sustainably allow Impression 5 to deliver upon our PLAY • CREATE • CHALLENGE standard, and continue to bring new hands-on exhibits, dramatic facility upgrades, and educational programs to families in the community. We are looking forward to some exciting renovations in the near future—including a brand new exhibit called Build Zone—and these new hours will afford us the time and staff power necessary to keep up the pace.
After studying attendance numbers and sending out a survey to our guests and members, we decided upon these new hours with the intention of making minimal impact on the enjoyment of families visiting the Science Center.
Is Impression 5 experiencing financial difficulties?
Not at all! The decision to change our schedule of operations was in no way based on financial difficulties. In fact, attendance numbers have been steadily increasing over the past several years!
This growth has allowed us to bring in popular traveling exhibits like Grossology and The Magic School Bus, design our own unique exhibits like MINature and Build Zone, and establish new educational programs to serve families in ways we never have before. We are confident our new hours will help sustain this growth and innovation, and ensure that Impression 5 continues to see new and exciting upgrades over the next several years.
Why will you be closed on Mondays?
Closing on Mondays will allow us to shift resources and staff to busier days in the week. We see our highest attendance from families visiting on weekends, and wish to provide as many people as possible with the best experience Impression 5 has to offer.
The museum will benefit from having one day a week to perform behind-the-scenes operations like installing new exhibits, repairing current exhibits, performing general facility maintenance, and preparing materials for the rest of the week. We selected Monday based on attendance numbers and the results of a survey that was sent out to guests and members in early 2012.
Are there any special Mondays you will be open?
Yes, the Science Center will be open on certain Mondays throughout the year to accommodate for busy holiday weekends. As of right now, here is a list of all the Mondays we will be open in 2012:
Will this affect my child in L.A.B.S. camps?
Nope! Summer L.A.B.S. camps will still take place even on Mondays when we aren't open to the public. The only difference for campers on those days is that they'll have the entire Science Center to themselves!
Remember, these changes will go into effect starting on June 23, 2012.
